Update your favourite chocolate cupcakes
Do you have a favourite chocolate cupcake recipe? Mine is made with yoghurt or buttermilk for a very moist texture.
Tried and trusted recipes always survive the test of time, but sometimes they require a little variation or an update.
Here are some ideas.
Place a frozen Lindor ball in the middle of the cupcake before baking for a delicious surprise in the centre. Any flavour will do.
Or else scoop out the centre with a melon ball scoop after baking and place a teaspoon full of chocolate hazelnut spread inside or a homemade truffle. Then ice as usual.
Add a tablespoon of strong coffee to the batter. Then ice with vanilla icing to which a tablespoon of coffee has been added for a cuppachino cupcake.
Use an icing recipe that has melted chocolate added to the butter and icing sugar for glossy, rich topping.
I hope you have enjoyed cupcake week. You can turn cupcakes into a work of art with a little creativity. Decorate your cupcakes with Ferrero Rocher chocolates and use a small nozzle in your piping bag for "spaghetti and meatballs" at your child's party - even the Mom's will enjoy those.
