Orange and Cherry Ice Lollies
The versatility of Ice Lolly containers
Ice lolly containers can be purchased from most plastic shops for a reasonable price and can be used time and again.
For a quick and easy adult desert try making ice lollies out of your favourite cocktail mix. Use the mojito, daiquiri and wine cooler recipes features on my blog.
For children freeze either fruit or yoghurt smoothies for a healthy treat.
My sons love yoghurt capped smoothies pictured below.
Try this recipe using fruit tea
Orange and Cherry Ice Lollies
1/3 cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 cup orange juice
1T orange zest
½ cup cherry tea
Stick of lemon grass
Dissolve the sugar in the water over a medium heat. Remove from the stove and add in the tea, orange zest and lemon grass. Allow to cool, then strain and add the orange juice. Pour into ice lolly moulds and freeze for a couple of hours. Unmould and serve immediately.
You can use mint leaves instead of lemon grass.
