Baking Tip of the Week - Biscuits
Crunchy Pecan Slices
Crunchy Chocolate Sandwich Biscuits
As busy Woman and mothers there is always room for tips that help us do things better. Here is my suggestion for this week:
When baking biscuits always bake them on the middle shelf of your oven. Biscuits are baked at medium high temperature for a short time. If you bake them at the bottom of your oven, they can burn. Using a thin metal biscuit tray will ensure an even bake and stop biscuits from burning on the bottom. If you find biscuits tend to burn on the bottom when using a baking tray, try double lining it with baking paper.
Do you always end up baking the same biscuits? Try to adapt a favourite recipe or try something new. I had used up my brown sugar and decided to adapt a recipe passed down to me from my grandmother that used granulated sugar instead. Here is the adapted recipe for you to try.
