Beer Box Chocolate Cake

This recipe was sent to me by a friend of my Mother's. It is the best way to make a large chocolate cake, perfect to send to school for your child's birthday or for a picnic. It is baked in the cardboard box used to carry 4 six packs of beer, so the quantities of ingredients are large. Ice it with your favourite chocolate icing, it's light and delicious.

BEER BOX CHOCOLATE CAKE

Box measures 25 X 38 cms / 10 x 15 inches!

LINE BEER BOX WITH TIN FOIL SHINY SIDE UP

BOIL TOGETHER

½ LITRE WATER

150ML OIL

150ML COCOA

2 TSP VANILLA

COOL

BEAT TOGETHER

6 EXTRA LARGE EGGS

3 CUPS CASTOR SUGAR

SIFT TOGETHER

3 ½ CUPS FLOUR

6 TSP BAKING POWDER

½ TSP SALT

METHOD

FOLD SIFTED INGREDS INTO EGG MIXTURE

ADD BOILED MIXTURE

BAKE AT 180 C FOR 30 – 35 MINS
