Rib eye with Smoky Bourbon and Paprika Marinade
Paprika is becoming more popular as a spice for it's depth of flavour rather thank it's heat. Here it is used in a Marinade on steak that can be cooked in a griddle pan, grilled or barbecued.Serves 4
400g rib eye steak
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1T Worcestershire sauce
1T olive oil
1t paprika
2t honey
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4T of Bourbon or Whisky
Marinade the the steak for 2 hour or overnight in the fridge. Allow the meat to return to room temperature before cooking.
Griddle, grill or barbecue the steak to your liking. Serve with a pasta, bacon, feta and tomato salad, or mashed potato, lightly fried baby spinach and tomato salsa.
