Marbled Double Chocolate Shortcake Bark

Here is another birthday party recipe that adults and children alike will love.

1 cup of shortcake biscuits broken into pieces
250g butter
1 cup brown sugar
400g milk chocolate
150g white chocolate, melted
1/4 cup coconut shavings

Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a large baking tray with foil.
Place the shortcake and coconut shavings on the baking tray.
Place the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Bring to the boil and keep stirring until it thickens. Pour over the shortcake and bake for 15 minutes until the mixture is golden and bubbling.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle over the milk chocolate. Wait a few minutes until the chocolate softens and then spread it evenly.
With a spatula drizzle the white chocolate over. Use a toothpick to marble the white chocolate by dragging it through the milk chocolate.
Allow to cool slightly and set in the fridge. Cut and serve.

Tips: replace the milk chocolate with dark mint chocolate.
Replace the shortcake with rice crispies.
